About Us
Who Are We?
We are a team of 4 sisters born and raised in the Philippines. Our family migrated to Canada 25 years ago. We often miss home, and one of our comfort foods is TAHO. We found ourselves thinking of how we could make it and share it with others, it took a lot of research and development to make sure we share "A Taste of Home" . Our oldest sister started the first PINOY TAHO in California and in 2020 the 3 of us began to share our family secret here in Vancouver.
What Is Taho?
Taho is a nostalgic comfort food in the Philippines. It is soft silken tofu drizzled with Arnibal (syrup) and topped with Sago (pearls) typically sold by a roaming vendor otherwise known as a “naglalako” that is mainly heard on the streets yelling “TAHOO” as you see kids and adults alike rushing to find change and make it in time for “manong” or the street food vendor to stop and scoop cups of taho to each house they stop at.
